August 2014 - Overall the food was mediocre. The service was good. The view was good, we watched hawks swooping around in the field. The pizza crust was basically the same pre-cooked pizza dough sold at grocery stores. The ingredients did not seem fresh, I assume they were frozen. The prices here are the same as the fire roasted pizza places in Olympia, WA which serve much higher quality food with high quality ingredients. For the quality of food here they should either charge half the price or greatly improve the quality of their food. I will likely not eat here again.

I don't live in Westport or Grayland, but this is the best pizza place I have ever been to. Everytime I go I am met with the most amazing service by very happy and friendly staff who always have a smile on their faces and truly seem to love their job. I don't usually like pizza, but everytime I am in Westport, going to the Original House of Pizza is first on my list. They have a large selection of pizzas as well as top quality ingredients. In addition to great ingredients, something I really enjoy is that the pizza is not greasy and you are able to eat it without hating yourself afterwards. This restaurant is extremely family friendly and have crayons and fun games and interesting facts at the tables for their guests to enjoy while they are waiting. The wait is usually short and when it runs long you won't mind because the food is out of this world. The crust is soft and warm, never mushy or burnt and extremely fresh, the toppings and cheese are perfectly balanced, and the tomato sauce is so incredible that everytime I take my grandmother she orders extra sauce in her calzone as well as extra on the side. Everything tastes absolutely fresh and delicious. You will never want to leave this beautiful restaurant. I advise you come with an empty stomach and order the cheesy bread- it's to die for!

We were expecting a traditional, Italian style pizza. Instead we got a very evident horrible store bought crust with bland sauce, the most tasteless cheese and some not very well-thought out toppings. The onions we ordered on our pizza turned out to be sweet - not the best thing to put on a pizza, and the jalapenos we ordered were not even hot somehow. The 'fresh minced' garlic was probably from a jar- also strangely tasteless. All in all, these people need to understand throwing some cheap ingredients together does not a pizza make, nor is doing the same and hanging a shingle stating it the Original House of Pizza make it a pizzeria. I love Westport- but I don't love this restaurant and will not be back.

Decent considering the place uses packaged pizza dough and jarred pizza sauce. The chowder is pretty good as well. Considering this is the only pizza place in town I give it 3 stars.

Staff are extremely helpful and nice and food is great! Will go back next time in Westport.
