I love finding hidden gems, and Brewster River Pub & Grill definitely qualifies. The fish and chips are awesome, especially with the addition of homemade potato chips rather than the handcut fries, which were also very good, but I definitely like chips over fries. Portions were generous! I want to really rave over the coconut milk steamed mussels. They are amazing. Basil, red peppers, ginger, curry, and garlic add flavor to a broth that would make an awesome soup. Now to the beer. We had the pale ale, which is hopped perfectly. Not quite so much that it enters into the IPA arena, but the hops stand out. There's a hint of sweetness from the malt, but nothing overdone, which is something I dislike. I don't want a sweet beer. Our waitress was friendly and didn't miss a step. That's definitely the cherry on an already great experience. Glad we stopped in, and can't wait to return.

I think this place is a hidden jewel! I first visited last year for a long weekend in Smuggler's Notch. We went for lunch both times we were here that weekend. We were so pleased with the food. When we asked about it they explained that they house smoke the meat and prepare most item's in house. Very fresh and delicious with a good selection of beer plus a few rotating house brews. I would describe it as gourmet bar food. You have to visit here.

Great place! Really enjoyed our meal and the guidance we got for our trip. Good to learn about what is happening in about town. Fantabulous food, good burgers and muscles. It's where the local and travellers should go... when we first arrived to relax. Took the shutles back to the resort.

Very good food. So much better than the restaurants at Smuggs. Great local brews too. Nice funk music selection.

We have been coming here as visitors to the area for years - both summer and winter. In the past, everyone who worked there was so friendly. The past 2 summers we have seen things change. Our experience this summer was so disappointing. The bartender showed no interest in serving us and when he did, he gave us our drinks and just went back to the end of the bar to talk to his friends (never even said thank you or asked if we wanted anything else). When we paid our bill we were actually charged more than the price said on the board. When I first heard Smuggs was not shuttling its guests to Brewski's anymore, I was disappointed. Now we don't care. It's very sad to say but Brewski's has lost a lot of what made us like going there - the friendly atmosphere. My advice - go across the street to the pub at Stella Notte's and visit with Lenny. Sorry Brewski's:(
