Cranberry's Grocery & Eatery
Reviews
Had a less than tolerable experience at Cranberry's during lunch. Of the three of us only one of us was satisfied with our lunch. I was served a warm coke and another lunch companion was served a turkey reuben that was incredibly soggy, the bread on the bottom was soaked and slimy and falling apart. Sadly it appeared the maker of the sandwich was aware of it as the soggy bread was hidden in chips. We also could hear him discussing the problem with other staff after we returned the sandwich. They did refund our money for the sandwich although they didn't seem very concerned about our experience. It's not likely we'll be back.
Must try those waffles and the home made soups. You will come back again and again. We did.
So I'll tell you my experience. I was searching downtown Staunton for an eatery that had Wifi. I was directed to the Cranberry and was pleasantly surprised to see such an assortment of holistic foods and staples. However, I was hungry. I was hoping that they would deliver as they promoted their Thai wrap as their specialty. I must say I was disappointed. It was mostly wrap and rice and therefore not much flavor. I will, I think, give it another chance in the future, but I'm definitely going to think twice and if I experience the same kind of bush league food, I must say that even the Wifi wouldn't be worth it. Come on Cranberries! I want you to be better than this!
Great to see an organic restaurant in Staunton. We went here for lunch. The wraps were great. The man working the sandwich area was far from friendly, but perhaps he was having a bad day. I would still try again.
Hospitality was excellent, hostess very patient. Black bean soup delicious. Veggie wrap also.
