I was driving by Staunton, Va and felt hungry, so I looked up what restaurants were open after 11pm and Applebee's popped up on my i-phone. I show up there, and they have Karaoke happening on a Wednesday night. Not only did I enjoy myself with the atmosphere, but after talking to a few local patrons at the bar (while enjoying a great Cowboy burger w/ fries), I find out this town is Veteran friendly. That is, Barbera the bartender ACTUALLY took off her shirt (after getting a new one) and gives it to me in honor of being a US Veteran. It says, "We are honored to serve our veterans and active military." I have never seen a shirt from Applebee's reflect this type of loyalty to our country, let alone this type of gratitude until I showed up here in Staunton, Va. Thank you so much for caring. I WILL be back again.
Great food Great people. came in after 8pm. food was VERY fresh and just made. service was quick and very friendly. left an article there... they mailed it to us.. we live out of state. definitely a good place for a great meal

Went on Wednesday night after 9. Half priced appetizers and karoake. Food was quick to get out amazing servers and best place to go at night to watch half drunken people sing.
This Applebee's is constantly getting poor health department reviews in the paper. Always multiple critical violations. That goes along with what a friend of mine who works there said, "Don't eat there!" It's dirty and they serve the food even if the ingredients are starting to become rancid. The service sucks! One of the female bartender's is one of the rudest people I've ever met, and she's trying to earn tips! Even in the middle of the day, when I was told to pick up my call-in order at the bar, she was a complete jerk! I've only visited here when my friends insist on going, but after my last experience I'm just going to tell them I'll hang out with them another time. There's not many good things to say about the Applebee's franchise regardless, and the Staunton location certainly isn't helping that!
