NEVER EATING THERE AGAIN. I want to start by saying that the Decor was awesome. We were told that is would be a 30-45 minute wait and there were empty tables everywhere. Our server was very pleasant and polite. We went in for dinner at about 7:30 in the evening. After we were seated we were immediately informed that they were out of bread. I wasn't worried about the bread. We ordered our meal, I ordered Chicken fried steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob, and my husband ordered the 8 oz steak, garlic mashed potatoes, oven roasted carrots and a skewer of Shrimp. Myself not being too fond of Corn on the Cob, I asked to substitute with carrots. I was informed that it would be 50 cents to substitute anything on the plate. Shortly, after putting our order in, our server came back to inform us that they were out of mashed potatoes. Ok sub something for it, which I asked for Carrots. When our dinner came I had a Chicken fried steak and 4 carrots, no corn on the cob. My husbands plate came his Bite sized steak that was no where near 8 oz, 4 carrots, and 4 shrimp. Neither of us got exactly what we ordered and being out of things at 7:30 in the evening and you not closing til 10:00 is unacceptable. I do have to say this though, what we did get had an awesome flavor. Our bill was almost $50 and IT WASN'T WORTH WHAT WE PAID.

My husband and I are relocating to Van Horn and I'm here visiting him and looking for a house. We arrived around 9pm last Thursday evening. We waited at least ten minutes to be seated, then another ten or fifteen for our server to come to the table. By the time he arrived we had decided on the chopped steak with potatoes and gravy. Ten minutes or so later he came back to tell us they were out of mashed potatoes so we changed our order to a burger. Again some time passed before he returned to tell us they were out of bread. So after a moment or two of deliberation we asked if they had traditional bone in wings and sweet potato fries. We were assured that they did indeed. A few minutes later the manager came to our table to apologize and say that they had no wings. It is 10 pm and we've had nothing to eat. We gave up and picked up a sandwich at subway. I appreciate the fact that this is a small town and there just isn't the competitive factor you find among restaurants in larger communities, and had this transpired within the first fifteen minutes I would have been more forgiving. I do not plan to spend another dime at this establishment. Save yourselves and eat at papa's pantry or get take out from the Pueblo Express. The Cattle Company does not care about keeping your business but apparently relies on the heavy tourist traffic in order to stay in business.

Good food. My server was not the most attentive. They were out of chicken fried steak

Stranded here by an ice storm. Front desk recommendations were fast food and this place. Being tired of fast food I walked over here. The menu choices were excellent for a town this small. Everything was cooked perfectly! If i pass this way again it is on my stopping list.

We were traveling to AZ and stopped off here. The ribeye was outstanding! The service was warm and welcoming. The restaurant's decor was clean and inviting. Will stop by on our way back home.
