Nice people throughout this operation from the girls who sign u in to the range staff n most of the gun salesmen. Sometimes due too the high sale these guys have n dealing with the lookie Lou's you see some stress in their eyes. Yes they are in the sales business but I have seen them patiently show numerous guns to some knucklehead who has no intention of buying n they bite their lip n continue to march. Long drive for me from champion forest but the hospitality I receive always bring me back. I like this place. Ps gun range rules are there to protect the knowledgable shooter from the beginners. It's an alright place but they have lots of rules. More than other ranges I've been to, the most of any range I've EVER been to actually and I've been to plenty. I don't like that they charge per gun and there is a premium if you are shooting "assault" rifles...give me a friggin' break. Why is it more expensive to shoot an AR than an M1 or Mini 14? If I want to go there and shoot my AR, get some time behind my hunting rifle(s), and then walk down and shoot my pistol(s) a bit to stay proficient you are talking about north of $50 for range fees alone, for a static range. I've paid $50 at a range before but that was for a bay where I could arrange targets, setup steel, shoot on the move, do all kinds of cool stuff, not just slow fire and practice accuracy only. I realize this is not a training facility but I'd think it more reasonable to charger per person, regardless of if they are shooting or not, than per gun and a flat rate for pistols and rifles regardless of how the media classifies them...way to fall victim to that.
Always have good experiences here. Prices are a little high, but the wonderful customer service and friendly staff make it okay. The store has a good inventory as well, plenty of long guns, handguns, and knives of all kind to choose from. They sell safes as well, anything from a handgun safe to giant safes that will hold 50+. They have a good supply of clothing as well, hunting and recreational. The range masters are friendly as well, especially at the skeet/trap ranges, which are always fun to shoot at.
Shooting range is OK, although attendants there are constantly yabbering which, may be at times distracting. Sales staff mostly helpful, but almost all project thinly veiled candescence if you don't know everything about the guns. I gave only one star for back office staff processing weapon transfer applications. Unhelpful, arrogant and visibly disgusted with customers who dare interfere with their face-booking. I myself am a business owner and this attitude from any of my employees, would certainly warrant a "pink slip" In short: decent place to practice, don't waste your time and money on buying guns there.
Shooting range personnel were OK. Especially the nice lady at the desk. But the gun sales team seemed to be about the dumbest bunch of people I have seen in a while. I was trying to look at a Ruger sr762 over the counter and sales associate stands right in front of me blocking the view of the rifles and starts texting on his cell phone without even acknowledging his customers.
