They tried to rip me off then complained when I caught them. I went in for the first time with my wife to hand pick some small river rocks. We had two medium sized bags and one plastic tub to put them in so we couldn't take much. The man helping us looked at his sheet and said 9.5 cents a pound.I estimated the weight at 200 but when we paid they said it was 300 lbs and the bill was $30.55. AND they said the price was 10 cents a pound, not 9.5. Maybe it was heavier than I thought so I went home and carefully weighted it, and it was a total of 204.5 lbs. When I called to complain, I talked to Ben, who I understood was the owner. He said "Why are you complaining, it's only $10 extra, we're not talking a $1000 here". So I said "So you think it's OK to overcharge a customer $10?" Ben the owner got real mad and said "Bring back the rocks I'll refund your money and I will never do business with you again!" The owner was mad at me for catching him trying to cheat me!! I understood what they did, they put the rocks on a heavy pallet to weigh them and they charged me the weight of the pallet. They admitted that saying "That's standard business to weight the pallet with a ton of rock". But I was buying only 204 lbs - about $20. When I went back to return them they weighted them again and got 213 lbs. Hmm...it was 204.5 lbs at home on an electronic scale. The office manager tried to refund the difference so I could keep the rock I carefully hand picked, but when I asked again about Ben, he came in grabbed the paper she was filling out and told her to give ALL my money back and that he wanted me off the property. It's very rare I have trouble with people, maybe I've just been lucky, but when he did this I knew he knew he was ripping me off. Stay away from this place! Dudley Jack Rock and Stone will rip you off!

The company is extremely slow at and unprofessional. They have collected 1/2 of the money 4 months before starting the project, and did not order the monument face plate until they had half way built. They havent been on site for three weeks leaving a huge mess, open holes, a huge pile of dirt and stone everywhere. They have broken sprinkler lines and not repaired them. When I called the first time about the slow progress the owner said " I am getting tired of getting these calls. It will be done right when we finish" I would use someone else if I were ever to need stone work in the future! I dont recommend this company, along with being the most expensive they are the slowest and most unprofessional.
