Lonesome Dove Western Bistro
Reviews
I very rarely write reviews, but we had an exceptional experience at Lonesome Dove. We just ate at the bar. The bartenders, Chris and Caitlin, were excellent. They walked us through the menu, offered recommendations and made a great drink! We started with Elk Sausage Sliders and the Wild Boar Rib appetizers. Both were delicious with very unique flavors. I would highly recommend them. I had the Buffalo Ribeye and it was one of the better steaks I've had in my life! I will make this a "must" every time I'm in Fort Worth. Great food, great people, great experience.
great food had the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage, wild boar ribs, seared fois gra (sp?) and as main dishes buffalo ribeye and grilled quail all amazing!
My girlfriend and I went here for our one year anniversary! Exquisite food! Everything was delicious especially the "Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye, Grilled Langostinos, Wild Mushroom-Truffle Orzo, Asparagus" Tyler our server made the experience that much better. Exceptional service!
Overpriced and I've had better steak at Texas Roadhouse. The filet was bland and you could tell was cooked in an oven or something that was not fire or smoke. Wagu skirtsteak was rubbery and lacked flavor. Drinks were not mixed right or something. The flavors didn't balance. Presentation and atmosphere was decent. If you want fancy and to blow a lot of money but not a big meat/food fan then this is the place.
As a former chef of Mr.Love I can stand behind his reputation on his culinary ability, In Texas it stands alone! And as for Mr. Kevin Dahle, perhaps your inexperienced pallet was urging you to rush back to Luby's. it's comfort zone.
