Course a lot of fun. Fairways are in great shape. Greens were sanded last time I played but having played here several times, are smooth rolling. Staff is always very friendly.
Course was pretty good, however the bunkers weren't very good quality. Rocks, etc in them. Also the pace of play was DISMALL, and there weren't that many people out there. Marshall on the course at any time would be great.
Horrible! Run down, greens were in terrible shape. The whole course was a mud hole. Glad I didn't build one of the big homes on this course!!
October 2014, and I did not experience any of the service or condition issues other people have mentioned. I was on a golf vacation and we played 4 different courses in the Dallas area... this one was in the best shape of any of them, despite the drought from this summer. The starter and marshalls were nice out on the course. As a fan of the game, I loved playing some of these famous holes, especially Amen corner.
18Aug2014: I'm not sure what this Steve S. character saw last week but those greens would not have changed that much. If you were there to enjoy the scenery, houses and trees, then you did go to the right place. I went to play golf and that was not what I expected from this course. Atrocious! 15Aug2014: This is our second time playing here. This is by far one of the most disappointing golf trips I've ever had. We drove 3 hrs to get here after scheduling our trip for over a month. Luckily, we had the special fees ($52) and there were 8 of us.4 of the guys never played there before and we were eager to show them the course. Unfortunately, not one of the staff members warned us of the condition of the course until we got to the starter. I should have known something was array when I saw the condition of the practice putting green (horrendous). One of the other patrons had to go up to the shop to let them know that there were no practice balls on the range. 2 of the greens were unplayable and that's the nicest way I can say it. The rest of the greens had so much sand on it that we were a little bemused as why the sand when they were aerating on Monday 18Aug2014. Anyways, this was a complete waste of time and money and I can't believe they were still charging for the full rates on such a subpar course. I was still impressed the first time we went even though they didn't tell us they had aerated the week before scheduling our teetimes. So I was really looking forward to this and left with utter disappointment. Thanks a lot Tour-18. Rob Schuster
