Loveless Cafe

This place is amazing!! We had a hour wait, but it was definitely worth the wait. While exploring, we met the pit master George - he does a fantastic job and is a very kind person. He made the wait seem shorter than an hour. We were seated in Taylor's section. He did a great job! He brought humor and attentive service. Oh and the food is definitely amazing - the corn is amazing! Well worth the stop!
The wait was over 1 1/2 hours; but I had been here before and expected it. What I didn't expect was to be served "old" chicken---dry and hard. I wonder if they fry for the day and take off the pile when the table turns? Anyway, I can not give it raves this time. Just mediocre.
This place is a Nashville staple. Great for getting groups together and heading out for a good meal (my recommendation - breakfast) in the "country". It is a little stretch from Nashville, but not a bad drive. The food: this is just a good meal. The portion sizes on some plates may make you want more, but you do get fed. You WILL wait a while to be seated. Come prepared. They do have a little shop off to the left to keep you occupied while you wait. Prices: for the amount of food you get, I do find the prices a tad more than they should be, however, if you have as many customers as Loveless does, why not charge more? They are obviously getting it! Bottom line: Go, you like it, and it's like going to a more local and homemade cracker barrel. Great biscuits and jam!
The best way to describe this is as the Disneyland of Southern restaurants. There's going to be a long wait for a table so don't turn up ravenous or you'll be hangry. Instead, take advantage of your ability to roam around the property and visit all of the adorable stores with the buzzer that let's you know when your table is ready. Exploring the farm is half the experience anyway! Then, get biscuits. They really are as good as they say they are. Everything else is going to give you a good dose of Southern comfort food on top.
Came here in the early afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find no wait! Mark was a fantastic server and soon after the arrival of a platter of biscuits with delicious assorted jams, our food arrived. The Mac and cheese was to die for, and the hash brown casserole was bangin'! Even my girlfriend's salad was delicious. Definitely coming here on the reg. 6/5
