I saw this place on the south bound road trip and despite just having breakfast, I felt obligated to take some donuts to go since I was just passing through. I hope you readers appreciate the pics, since the attendant stated that she thought I was a donut spy or “the competition.” Fortunately for southern hospitality and after how I explained that I’m a foodie, her look of suspicion seemed to decrease. She was kind enough to tell me that they make the donuts on the premises which is a big plus. In New Jersey, I notice most if not all donut chains (only one brand dominates) has started to have the donut making centralized meaning most stands have donuts delivered to them, so it doesent taste as good IMHO. Thus, whenever I see a donut store I have not tried or seen before, I take the effort to give it a try. This place did not disappoint. The red velvet donut was moist, yummy, and I could taste the cream cheese in the cream cheese icing top. The bowtie was also good, soft in texture and just the right amount of glaze, a place worth coming back to.
Love this donut shop... My personal favs are the red velvet and the cream filled donuts.
Very nice ! Gooooood donuts!
OMG! The "Red Velvet Donuts" sign lured me in. I am a Yankee married to a Southern Belle. Here in upstate NY I can not get good red velvet cake unless my wife makes it for me. So naturally in West Tennessee and I see a sign that says red velvet... I'm going in! OMG!!! The red velvet donuts are the only ones I tried and they were INCREDIBLE! If you are even close by, I strongly recommend you stop in. I cannot wait until the next time I go to Jackson for work.
Best doughnuts for miles around. Good coffee, too.
