Happy and friendly staffs that are passionate about their coffee, food and community. I love coming here to get specialty coffees, (try almond joy latte, or peppermint mocha, so much better than starbucks!) and talk with the baristas. One of my favorite cafes!
The food was fine, and the atmosphere at Mugshots is cool, but the service was just ridiculously terrible. Not only were a couple members of the staff cranky and rude, but when my order was lost for 45 minutes, I was asked to just 'wait 15 minutes cause we're super busy'. Were I ordering a souffle, whatever, but a vegan BLT wrap should not take an hour to make, especially when the cafe is half empty. A kind person rescued my order and apologized, but a couple of the workers need to learn to exercise basic decency.
I think they should use local Philadelphia roasters. There are many fine ones. The beans that they use, which are not great in my opinion, appear to be shipped in from some roaster in Wisconsin.
Always had friendly service with smiles for return customers. Great coffee, but I wish their food was still made to order.
This new location is certainly more spacious than the old one, but has a little bit less personality and looks more like a Starbucks. Same great food and service.
