30 of our family went to lunch at Hartefeld after a life cycle event. Wow... What a venue with terrific sight lines of the golf course from every angle in the restaurant. We all ordered off the lunch menu. Great selection. I had the mushroom soup (Come on, it’s the center of the mushroom world) and it was great. Followed by their roast beef sandwich on a crusty roll, fruit and coffee. Great taste, presentation, excellent proportions. I think I speak for all at the table. But the best part was the service. We were treated like royalty in a very professional up scale manner. Very impressive.
Haven't been there in years though we've had big and small dinner parties there several times. The food has never been more than mediocre at best. The atmosphere is nice. I haven't been back In years. Maybe they've improved.
This place is great to eat, especially if you can score some outside seating on the porch on a nice sunny day! The service is good, but its SLOW, so don't go if you are in a rush. The food is good and the atmosphere excellent. A great place to eat out with the family on Sat night or brunch Sun morning. Its not cheap, but it IS a country club, so keep that in mind.
