The greatest thing about this restaurant is the diversity. I can open the menu and find 6 different cultures in one menu done deliciously. Being Vietnamese, I often try their version of the Banh Mi Sandwich. While it isn't like a traditional in the home country, I don't think any Vietnamese person expects it to be. It does, however, give a unique western interpretation to the Vietnamese classic that I thoroughly enjoy. I think most foreigners who try another country's attempt of their home land signature foods are generally disappointed. This is one of the rare instances where I can say that I enjoy a traditional Banh Mi sandwich and Homegrown Cafe Banh Mi Sandwich just the same. They are both different sandwiches, but closely related enough to share the name. They are also both delicious!
So good! I love the menu selection, no matter what I'm in the mood for, its there. Plus pick the right protein for my mood without sacrificing flavor. I love switching between the beef and the portobello. Oh AND a fantastic craft beer selection!!

My husband and I happened upon this restaurant via Amazon Local. What a find! We've been back several times now. The food is delicious and the service is always on point. Looking forward to going back again, soon! :-)
This used to be our favorite place to eat, now when we discuss going out we jokingly say "anywhere but Homegrown". Also the staff has completely went downhill since the summer. We ate there recently....were waited on by one person and then another came behind him to fix all of his mistakes. It was terrible. My last time eating there was the time I decided I wouldn't be returning. I really was in the mood for a hot bowl of soup and a sandwich so I ordered the grilled cheese. Expecting a delicious blend of cheese between two pieces of bread fried to buttery perfection, well that's not what I got. Instead I received two pieces of thick bread sent through a toaster over with cheese on top then stuck together. It was so hard I couldn't eat it. I could've sent it back, but I'm tired of sending things back here. I'm done with this place.
