Great salads. If you're a drinker, ask for a "Gorilla's Ass" - it comes in a caraffe and is equal to two drinks - tastes like a milkshake. DON'T drive after drinking one of these!! Good stuff! Their prices are reasonable and it's a family friendly environment. The bar is on the south side of the building -- restaurant on the north side. Lot's of good stuff to choose from on the menu. Highly recommend.
Food was not very good, took over an hour to get our food out due to problems in the kitchen. Waitstaff were visibly stressed out and you couldn't help but feel bad for them because it was out of their hands.
Love their Friday night special--Prime Rib--at $10.95 this year. They do it well, with all the fixins. Otherwise, their food can pretty much be described as "meh".... Kind of what you'd expect from a restaurant and lounge with a karaoke bar. Had the WORST steak of some sort (I can't remember what it was--just that it wasn't the prime rib) that I've ever eaten in my life, there, too. Wanted it medium. Came back rubber. Couldn't eat it. Took it home, put it in the slow cooker, and it was still inedible. Finally gave up and fed it to the dogs. Never again, if it isn't prime rib! The rest of the food is ok. Like most restaurants that cook on a grill, they can't cook eggs of any sort to save their lives. Scrambled bounces. Everything else comes out crispy on the edges, which I hate. Clam chowder? I wouldn't bother with it. Tastes more like cream of mushroom soup, which is fine, IF you want cream of mushroom soup, instead of clam chowder! They do great baked potatoes, though. Homemade beef soup/stew is good, if salty. Mini loaf of wheat bread with every evening meal comes cold, and probably from a Franz bakery, but if you're hungry while you wait for your meal, it's edible, and comes with real butter for the spreading. One thing that is usually exemplary is the wait staff. They are always friendly, ime. Always helpful, and always ready and willing to do whatever food-related thing you need them to do, whether it's keeping your water or coffee refilled, taking food back if necessary, or replacing one thing for another. They definitely deserve at LEAST a 20% tip with every meal they serve to you, if not more. I can say nothing about the drinks, as we don't drink, but keep in mind it IS a bar, so they have plenty of alcoholic beverages, and with the Karaoke bar, you'll get your ear-full of bad singing at night, since the bar and restaurant areas are not separated by a soundproof wall. Or any wall at all, for that matter. So, all in all, it's ok. Don't expect high cuisine or a quiet, peaceful setting for your meal if you're there after 8 or 9 pm. DO expect great service. Prices aren't over the top, and their daily specials (early dinner on Monday thru Thursday, Friday night prime rib, etc.) are a bargain. Just don't order any steak that isn't the prime rib, and that you don't want to bounce all around the room like a rubber ball, and you'll do just fine :-).
Great family dining atmosphere. Fish and chips dinner was enough for two!
