Kyllo's Seafood & Grill

Don't let the dated appearance of the outside of the building deceive you. We went there on a busy Friday night and enjoyed it immensely. The indoor decor is pleasant and of course the view is spectacular. The menu is small, which I think is a sign of a place that values freshness and quality. We received very prompt and friendly (not cheesy) service. We ordered a variety of dishes; they came out quickly (maybe 15 minutes) and everything was outstanding. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is that the prices were a bit high (about $100 for dinner and a drink for a party of 4). We will make a point of going here whenever we are in town.
My husband and I had dinner there on Friday night. The remodel looks nice. We had not eaten there before so I have nothing to compare to except the prior reviews. It was dark so I can't comment on the view, We were seated right away the staff was very nice and helpful. Very noisy, the noise level compares to Red Robin when they are busy. It is hard to communicate some times across the table. The clam chowder was excellent. My husband had the Smoked Salmon Pasta, it was also amazing. I will know better next time to ask "market value" on something before I order. I had the Halibut fish and chips which were very good, I couldn't eat it all so I left on on the plate (lots of fries served with fish), when we got our bill it was $27.00 for my meal! YIKE's. I would have taken the last piece with me if I had known that! My fault for not asking. Overall it was a nice atmosphere and good food.
Pros: Great views and helpful staff. Seared scallops had a delicious crust and still tender not overcooked and the sherry cream sauce was good on the pasta. Needed a little more salt. Fish and chips the halibut version were crispy and very well seasoned, fries tasted like potatoes with a good crisp texture. Cons: Clam chowder had a slightly moldy taste but was loaded with clams and potatoes. Stuffed halibut was okay, the filling was tasty but the parmesan crust again needed more seasoning. The halibut was perfectly cooked tender and flakey. Mashed potatoes underneath needed salt and seasoning. Tarter sauce for the fish and chips was bland. Portions were good and fairly priced. Not sure I would recommend it as a must go in Lincoln City.
this was one of the best places I've been for breakfast in a long time. chicken fried steak and bloody Mary's. yum
First off we brought our young family of six into the restaurant and were promptly seated, Given menu’s and water. All was off to a great start, we had been given adequate time to decide on food. When asked what our order would be three of us wanted burgers and the waitress told us that they had run out of beef which is about a third of their small food menu; granted they had a huge drink menu which was apparent they were more a pub than a restaurant. We settled on other items and they were decent tasting if you were to be in a bar setting not a restaurant. Pub food should not cost this much 14 to 18 dollar burgers? My wife was set on fresh crab for our coast trip and was disappointed that the crab cakes tasted far from fresh crab, and were more flavorless because the pile of mashed potatoes under them. Normally this would only make me think well bad luck for us, now we know where not to come back, but when it was time to leave I took the boys to the restroom and there was feces in the urinal and an out of order sign on it making it obvious that it was known to have been there and not covered. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking good fresh food, good prices, but as for the drink menu…. maybe those of you after spirits (however I did not examine the drink process).
