During a recent month-long stay in Baker City, I enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the great staff at Bella's (thanks, Lynn!). The freezer became my own private meat locker, the wine selection was compelling, and at the end of my stay, I had to load up on kitchen supplies (read, "galley" supplies) for my boat. I wish the shop (and staff!) were closer.

Do not miss this incredible shop if you're on I-84 near Baker City. I stopped with a basket which needed to be filled for a wedding gift. Oh my! Cindy showed me all sorts of local goodies. We filled the basket with wine, cheese, apple butter and nuts. Then they added filler, a variety of shelled nuts (at no extra cost), wrapped all with cellophane and a big bow. What a hit! I ended up stopping on the way home to pick up the tasty peaches and some wonderful salt from Moreno.
