This is just a great place to eat. The owners of this place really do a great job. You can't beat the Chef Ben and the Bartender Larry. For a great meal around Mansfield it does not get any better.

I made the terrible mistake of taking my Wife, Mother and Grandmother to the Cabin for Mothersday, spending well over $200. We had made reservations, arrived on time and began our meal. After about 45 minutes, a waitress approached us to let us know that we had used up our allotted time and would need to leave as others were waiting for our table. About 10 minutes later, the head waitress came up and asked us to leave while my Grandmother and daughter were still eating their meal, thoroughly embarrassing us all and ruining Mothersday for my wife. At that point, we left, but I have never been so embarrassed by restaurant wait staff in my life. After making a complaint to the manager, we were offered a $50 (!) gift certificate so that we could return and have an enjoyable meal. The gift certificate offered never arrived and the manager stopped returning my calls.

We went to The Cabin for Mother's Day today. The buffet was priced at $21.95/adult and $8.95/child. We made reservations a couple of weeks ago requesting 12:45 for 8 people (5 adults, 3 children under 6). There was nothing mentioned about seating times, length of reservation, etc. We had a pretty nice meal - most of the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. HOWEVER, after 45 minutes, our check was brought (which was fine, as it was buffet), but after 10 more minutes, the waitress came and told us our table was needed for another party! We were not all finished -the kids weren't quite done, it took awhile to get the kids and grandma situated with their food -and and our elderly grandmother takes a bit more time to eat as well, plus we hadn't seen her in 2 years so we were "catching up". After literally 3 minutes of us sitting there after the first "warning", the head waitress came and told us that she was asking us to leave! "And thank you for your understanding. Have a nice Mother's Day" was her closing. We did NOT understand. Wow - for Mother's Day, we couldn't have more than 1 hour and 10 minutes total including the time it took for them to tell us twice to leave, then 8 minutes it took for them to cash us out after they asked us to leave - for 8 people to eat when we were dropping $150+?!!! AND there were 4 EMPTY tables right around us. They could've put 2 together if they needed a larger table. There was plenty of space. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

We hired Char and her staff to cater our wedding reception and we couldn't have been happier with their service!! She really worked with us, we told her our budget and what we were looking for and she made it happen! She even helped me decorate the reception venue. While we were fixing our plates my husband and I could hear the guests ooohing and aaahhing about how good everything looked. The presentation was amazing and the food tasted just as good at the reception as it did at our tasting. I highly recommend anyone looking for a caterer contact them! Thank you again!
