Malabar Inn Restaurant
Reviews
We celebrated an anniversary at the Malabar restaurant that just happend to be the same weekend as the Shawshank anniversary. They were busy, very busy. But that didn't change our service or food quality one bit. We started with wine, which was excellent and reasonably priced for a higher end restaurant. We ordered the crabcakes appetizer which was very moist and flavorful. We ordered the salmon and flank steak for an entree and they were both cooked to perfection! Our waiter informed us that dessert was on the house because it was our anniversary but we couldn't decide on just one. We ordered the tiramasu and the blueberry shortcake. Both were out of this world. You can tell they take pride in making fresh food from scratch. The blueberry shortcake was the best dessert either of us had ever eaten. The tiramasu is DELICIOUS also so you really can't go wrong! Thank you for a great dining experience! We hope to make it back!
Excellent food - far exceeded our expectations for a birthday lunch. Wait staff was terrific and the food had a very high quality. Try the lamb burger if it's available.
4 star food at 2 star prices!
My wife and I have eaten here several times. It is a great resteraunt with excellent food and the best crab cakes I have ever had even in areas that have fresh crab available. In nice weather the patio seating is a real treat. It is a great out of the way spot to take your sweetheart for a nice meal and a scenic drive in the country. It is not far from Mohican State Park for a hike, bike, picinic, camping or fishing trip either. I highly recommend it and feel it should be placed on the must goto eateries in the area!
Best food, best service and a great view! What a nice ending to a beautiful weekend in the area!
