EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. And the employees didn't seem to care. I ate there with 4 other people. Two ordered the fish sandwich but did not eat the bread because it looked like unbaked bleach white bread. Third person had a gray colored overcooked mealy baked potato and rock hard broccoli (supposed to be cooked). Fourth person was told by the waitress the vegetable medley was asparagus, carrots, and squash. She only got the carrots correct. It was actually green beans, carrots and broccoli. Apparently, she did not take the time to even find out what the vegetables of the day were. And my meal came after the other 4 people were finished. I had to point out to the waitress that it was late and then had to ask about 5 times where my meal was while the waitress sat at the next table talking with some friends. When my steak sandwich came it was lukewarm, soggy, and had all of 5 small chunks of meat on it. The manager offered a half-hearted defensive apology and only the cost of my meal refunded. I know that mistakes happen I at least would like to be made to like they really cared about the mistake and correcting it. They did neither. And this happened after another recent experience there where we asked for medium cooked steaks that came out dripping purple-red juice and were half gristle. I used to like this place but it has been dreadfully awful lately and it will be LONG time if ever, that we go back. Again, extremely disappointing and I honestly do not exaggerate any of this...

Like the previous user, I have come to dislike Jakes. Last time we were there, waitress was pleasant but totally clueless. She had to leave about 4 times during ordering to find answers to our simple questions (what is the vegetable today, does this meal have such-and-such in the sauce etc.) Stuff that any waitress should be prepared to answer. Food seemed to be left under a warmer too long. One person, for example, had macaroni that was rubbery and/or hard. Others with overcooked food and funky potatoes. Not sure what has become of Jakes but we sure don't like it anymore...

Tried to eat here with my mom and two daughters. Very poor service. Didn't even get asked what we wanted to drink. Our waitress never came at all. We sat and waited about 10 minutes, even asked for someone to see where our waitress was, but nobody ever came. At least 3 servers walked past us, and helped others, but for us, nothing. We got up and left.

Wow what happened tonight at Jake's? Terrible service. Everyone else was dine eating before my husband even got his food and all the waitress had to say was "sorry". Not my idea of customer service.
