Excellent experience. Easy to work with and my purchase as an out-of-state buyer was smooth. Negotiated the price over the phone; when I showed up the vehicle and the price were exactly what I was promised they would be.

We have been customers of Penn Yan Motors, Friendly Dodge for many years. We have had great service with them, I had many mini van for many years last year i decide to step out of the box looked and brought my Subaru. I needed a change from the Mini Van, I am still very happy with Friendly's, matter of fact my Husband has brought many Pick-up trucks there they have great service as well, Matter of fact he is thinking of trading up. They have had changes made to service, but that happen in all places, we have always been treated with respect,with a Friendly attitude.

I went to the "Friendly" lot to look around during one of their promotional gimmicks (a $20 gas card for test driving a vehicle) a few years back. I was talked into test driving a car and told to keep it overnight. I insisted to the seller that I knew I could not afford the car, but he assured me he could give me a great deal with the trade in on my current van. I reluctantly agreed to test the car (BIG mistake!), and took the car back the next day. I told the sales agent it was nice car but I still could not afford it. The agent threw a ton of figures at me, and tried bullying me into a contract for far more than I could afford. I finally had to simply ignore each of his praises of the great deal he was giving me and respond each time with "I'd like the keys to my van so I can leave please". After repeating myself a few times he went to locate my keys and was gone for a VERY long time, I "reminded" him what he had gone to do when he walked by me about 25 minutes later not seeming to realize I was still there waiting for my keys. Again he went to look for them (and did not return), I had to ask two more staff members and FINALLY got my keys (and my hostage held van) back after almost an hour of waiting. I of course did not get the $20 gas card (they were all out), and I will NOT EVER drive on their lot or that of their Friendly Ford lot located in Geneva, NY. These people are anything but friendly or honest!!!

Just purchased my third vehicle from here. Everyone is very knowledgable and made sure I used every rebate available to get the lowest price possible. I will be buying from them again in the next couple of months. Highly recommend!

This has been the absolute worst car buying/customer service experience of my life. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. They do anything to sell you the car and don't uphold any of the promises made, or take care of any of the issues with the vehicle. I purchased a 2012 Jeep Liberty with 18,000 miiles on it and 6 months later it won't even pass inspection. Service department is terrible, lost records, no returned calls, horrible customer service all the way around. Will be going back to VanBortel and telling as many people as possible to steer clear of the smoke and mirrors of Friendly Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
