Bocca Osteria
Reviews
Not sure what it was called, some sort of seafood risotto I think. Heaven on earth!! I don't get to Cooperstown that often, but when I do I look forward to Bocca's. The last time I was in Cooperstown I got talking into trying someplace else, and I am still kicking myself for listening. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I bet you will be back if you do.
Great brick oven pizza in an elegant environment!
hot soup was cold we have to send it back to heat it up! Panini Sandwich was also cold and hard as rock !!! we left that restaurant hunry and angry!
Cooperstown in general is somewhat of a gastronomical wasteland, but Bocca is an exception to the general rule. We liked the food and ate there twice.
Their appetizer melon wrapped with prosciutto with grilled asparagus and raspberry vignette - sounded good but didn't go well together. Their Risotto All Pescara, risotto was very thick, it stuck on my fork and couldn't shake it off. Not the creamy like it was suppose to. The scallop was not fresh but their shrimp was okay. I also had the Veggie Greek Pizza - special that night, which was not too bad, ingredients and pizza seem somewhat fresh. I wanted to try to blueberry ravioli for dessert but I was full from the thick risotto. Ambient wise - the place was very dim. Very small. Place seems contemporary - they try to use contemporary plates and glass and use candle for a warm glow. Service - Only one server who did very well keeping up but appeared stressed, guys from the kitchen had to come out to help carry dishes and take them back in. The bar keep and hostee didn't do much.
