Resorts Casino Hotel

A shit hole. Plain and simple. The low end of what is already the low end of the casino industry in Atlantic City. Old--like most of its patrons. They don't even have a buffet anymore. It's basically a retirement home with slot machines. I can't imagine why anyone under the age of 80 would want to hang out there when you have modern casinos and hotels within a mile. It's got a food court like a mall in the middle of it. Wow.
Got the 901 suite ocean tower... furniture was old and run down... Jacuzzi didnt work when I called the front desk they said they were going to send maintenance up... an hour and a half later nothing... I called back up... they said there was "shift change" and nothing could of been done... I asked for another room and they said they can downgrade me to another room?!? who does that when u have a suite??? then when i spoke with the front desk supervisor... I told her to forget it, it was late 1am... she said it was too late and she was sending the person up anyway... 30min later the guy shows up I said go forget it and i was going to bed... then i got an explanation that they were closing the tower anyway for renovation and theyre going to be pushing people out of the tower tomorrow... The customer service was horrible... No wonder why Atlantic City is failing
We spent the last 4 days there (November 10-13, 2014), and really enjoyed the place. We purchased through Groupon, and upgraded twice to a really large suite. The room was spectacular & spacious. The staff was helpful, especially Cedric! We will be watching for more deals to go back. Yes, there are $20 per day food allowances, but if you can't satisfy yourself with all the available restaurants, I'm surprised! The only drawback was the smell of smoke throughout the building. However, since we didn't go with a gambling agenda, we spent most of our time on the boardwalk and shops. We arrived 4 hours before our scheduled check in, and they let us check in early. We stayed in the Rendezvous Tower, and were very pleased! We will go back! You can't beat $5 valet parking.
Stayed there for a few days on a short vacation. The room seemed liked it was missing furniture, maybe a chair and a desk? You have to pay $12 a day for internet which is crazy. It was difficult to get through to the front desk. The phone would ring numerous times. Not a fan of the smoking policy. People were smoking everywhere and the last night we were there, the casino was full of obnoxious drunks. It was also strange that there was no literature about the hotel, casino, maps, and services. For the money I expected a better place.
The biggest problem I had was the smell of smoke. Its everywhere. In the lobby. In the elevators. But worse of all, in the room. Even after having a few drinks, it wasn't enough to knock me out for the night with that smell. Being a very old hotel (not sure what they did to make it a casino back in the day) its probably engraved into the wood from years as a smoky hotel. Its a very old building, and not up to snuff with the more modern hotels/casino's. I'm surprised that Revel is going under, yet this holds on. Probably the somewhat new Margaritaville addition saved it.
