Even though we are locals, we went here for the first time this past weekend. The place reminded me of a local version of Buffalo Wild Wings, whether that is their intention or not I don't know. Anyway the food was ok. It arrived in baskets rather than plates. Which was ok, apart from there was some kind of paper underneath each meal. I was getting a little fed up of my fork going through the paper and I didn't want to eat it so I removed it. Not sure what the purpose was. It kind of felt a little 1960's in terms of the cheap baskets. Anyway, the food was tasty enough although the menu does not go into explicit detail. It basically tells you what is on offer and there are no descriptives for each item. Bit of a pain. Especially when you order the scallops wrapped in bacon and it comes smothered in BBQ sauce. Was expecting just scallops in bacon. Anyway, I think if they put a bit more effort in to the smaller details this place would be great.
One must know this is a bar and what they serve is bar food. If you go there expecting more, then don't waste your time. If you want beer and bar grub then you will love this place. With that said, the oysters are cheap. In fact, the cheapest I found at the outer banks. Service was good. The wings were very good. Based on the food my husband and I had, it would have been a 4 star, but my in-laws ordered the ribs and prime rib (against our recommendation that this is a bar) and both were absolutely horrible. Their experience and complaints changed our overall experience. So, stick with the bar food and you will love this place.
Great food and good service, they have hamburgers, steak, crab legs, wings, and ribs! Amazing desserts!! Will be back.
