Whiskey Jack's
Reviews
I ski at Big Sky all the time and Whiskey Jacks is just a good example of a place that thinks that they don't need to do a good job because other places to go are scarce, for now. I haven't tried the new menu, so maybe this review is unfair to leave, but when I did agree to pay for their overpriced hamburger last season (Black Angus or whatever, the most expensive one) the cheese and the bun were cold. Yes, the cheese was cold - not even melted on what was advertised as a hand pressed burger (which seemed previously frozen to me). Should have sent it back but the food of everyone else arrived at the same time and we wanted to eat together and then hit the slopes.
Whiskey Jack's is the best lower-cost indoor dining option in the village with great burgers. Overall service is fine, however the place does tend to fill up so it may be harder to get into unless you dine early. If you want to watch sports they have a lot of monitors as well. The menu selection is fairly limited, so you while it is great to dine here at least once, you will also probably need to consider other options for variety.
good food good booze good folks
Excellent southwestern food, and a well stocked bar. Tastiest food on the mountain, for me. Prices are very reasonable compared to what you'd find in other major resorts, but hey - that's Big Sky. Seating can be limited apres ski, but the menu is absolutely delicious.
Great drinks and food
