Georgia Blue

OMG this place is good. Do yourself a favor and get the shrimp po-boy. The portions are generous and the potato (fries, Q's what ever you call them) are great. Never seen them done like that. They where crispy and had texture about them. Staff was friendly and great atmosphere.
service on 12/26/14 was great, food was mediocre. ordered oysters raymond & was horribly disappointed. each bite was inundated with pieces of crushed shell.when this was brought to the attention of the manager, let's say the response was worse than lackadaisical. we were given no helpful action, no promise of better food next visit, nothing. for my money, they can shut the doors.
Yesterday was my first time at Georgia Blue. Met with other family members and they had previously eaten here. The atmosphere was a plus and the food was a little pricey but the portions were abundant. I had the Sunday lunch special, prime rib with mashed potatoes/gravy, fried green tomatoes and squash/zucchini and my sister also had the lunch special except she had the fried chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, fried okra and fried green tomatoes. The other two diners had the blues burger with fries and the tamales. Everyone enjoyed the meal but probably the most impressive was our waitress, Jessica. She was one of the best, if not the best waitresses, we have had in our dining experiences. Very helpful with our selections and extremely attentive to our needs. Hope that we will be fortunate to have her again when we go
This place surprised me in every way, great place to eat!
I haven't been to the dogwood location yet, always seem to go to the Madison one. Fantastic lunch plates, great service.
