Sump Coffee
Reviews

I'm from Tulsa but every time we visit St. Louis my husband and I make a point of stoping here. Their coffee is great! Expertly roasted and served. I had one of the best double shots I've ever had here. I highly recommend this place:)

For all those people posting bad reviews about not being able to order their quadruple pump pumpkin spice latte with chocolate shavings served by a robot, maybe you should go to Starbucks. The first time I came to this place I tried to order an americano. They refused to serve it to me. They instead sat me down and explained their way of doing coffee. I am a "coffee snob" and this is now my favorite coffee shop in the country. I live in Portland but come through St. Louis for work. If you don't like the service or the attitude, go somewhere else. The coffee speaks for itself. These are not "wannabe hipster coffee snobs", they are just coffee snobs which I can respect. You won't find another shop that cares more about their coffee!! Don't come here if you want something other than an espresso or cappuccino. Nobody is forcing you to come here. But if you want a once in a lifetime experience and coffee to perfection, you found the right place. 10 stars!!!

I love this place and it's original flavor the coffee has without all the added junk. Sump provides a great atmosphere that anyone would love! Check it out!

I am coffee world traveled. Lived abroad for a very long time and became coffee spoiled. Its hard to find people who make a cappuccino correctly. In other words, don't scald or over heat the milk otherwise you take away the simple sweetness of the milk which is why its a SIN to put sugar in your cappuccino in Italy, the un-scalded milk is sweet enough. Sump made the cappuccino perfect... I love the bearded skeleton logos. I loved that the coffee bar attendant, ZAC, explained his love of Scandinavian coffee style because two of my favourite coffee places are Drop Coffee and Sosta Espresso Bar in Stockholm. Thanks SUMP! I will return.

Refused to be served. I just stopped by to get an americano to go. I was presented with a long story and a flow chart. I asked if I could order an espresso and a cup of hot water and was told that was not what they were trying to do. Not a place to go if you want a simple or basic. Probably a good place to go if you are not particular about what you like to drink, or want a story to tell your friends.
