Starbucks

Of the last 200 days from 11/26/14, I've probably visited here 180 of them. A lot of weekday mornings and weekend evenings and some other times as well. The employees here are very friendly and consistently do a great job. As I am always a walk-in customer, occasionally I have waited ~15-20 seconds for someone to take my order, but that's not a big deal to me. There are timers for the orders taken via the drive-thru, and the Starbucks system generally seems to be to have each employee remain at a 'station' and have that be their sole responsibility, so it doesn't feel to me like anyone is unprofessional or slacking off. The morning drive-thru (and especially the resulting car queue that often interferes with traffic at a busy intersection) does get hectic at times.

I was there last week. Asked for my favorite cheesecake brownie and they tried telling me Starbucks discontinued it completely. Which is a lie. Instead should've said their location discontinued it. When I questioned them, the person taking my order put their manager on the speaker box. I didn't have attitude nor did I request it. I simply stated that they were mistaken. Rude. Went there again to just get my drink and they are the slowest bunch of baristas I've ever encountered.

They have the most incompetent staff at the drive through - they get 1 order wrong every 3 to 4 visits. This morning I made my order and I usually check the label... but the person serving it says "here is your non-fat latte" so I didn't bother. I get to the office and it is something that is comepletely undrinkable for me. When I do catch their mistake I hold up the line for 10 minutes. On busy mornings if you go in, they care a lot less about instore customers than they do about the drive through ones so that often takes longer.

They're friendly enough here, but go to the one in the Loop if you're walking. This Starbucks is clearly designed for vehicles in the drive-through, and not for people who live in the neighborhood who want to walk in. As you walk into the parking lot from the front, it seems like you're at a blind spot with respect to cars leaving the drive-up, so you have to keep your wits about you. In order to get into the door, you have to basically cut across cars waiting in line at the drive-through.

My favorite Starbucks in stl! Drive thru baby!
