Blueberry Pines Golf, Dining & Event Center

I had a great experience at Blueberry Pines Golf Course. There course was beautiful and well laid out. I also had a great experience while dining there on multiple occasions. They have wonderful service and delicious food. I will DEFINITELY be back!

We played this course on Saturday, 7/5/14. The course was very nice, but the customer service was very bad. In advance of playing the course, I bought a MN PGA card, because the card provided a discount for this course. The discount was in the form of a coupon, which clearly stated it was valid anytime. When I got to the course, the manager on duty refused to honor the coupon because it was one of their busiest days of the year. I directed his attention to the coupon, which clearly stated "valid anytime". He still refused to honor the discount and told me I should to take the issue up with the MN PGA card customer service. I pointed out to him that he should straighten it out with the MN PGA card, because it's up to each course to set the parameters for their discounts (as an example, many other courses only allow discounted rounds after 12 PM on weekends, or before 11 AM on weekdays, or not on holidays, etc). He still refused to acknowledge any mistake on his part, and made us pay full price. When I came back into the pro shop a few minutes later, he apparently felt bad because he had the cashier refund $25 for me -- ignoring the fact that the discount was for $20 each, which would total $40 for the two of us. It was a bad way to start the round. Two other minor grievances: 1. The drink cart can only accept credit cards if they take the card from you, go to the clubhouse, run the card, and then bring it back to you. This seemed like a really outdated practice. 2. The bar was staffed with a single bartender on the afternoon of what was apparently their busiest day of the year. As a result, it took a long time to get drinks after the round, place our order, and get our check back at the end of lunch. As mentioned above, the course is nice, but the service is bad. Won't be back.

Did not eat there but the golfing was excellent. Played 9 quick no crowding. The last 3 holes were beautiful but bring extra balls!

Its a nice north country course. A little pricey (admittedly for the area) but their greens are always gorgeous and the club house is stunning. The food in the restaurant is also pricey but VERY VERY good. If you've had a not-so-great experience with the food they've changed things again (along with their menu) and now they are one of the tastiest and nicest restaurants in the area (as of right now - September 2014). I find their course very pretty though it isn't very big for a championship golf course, always very well maintained though. The first time I played it I found it a little annoying from a players point of view, you tend to feel handicapped as apposed to challenged. Still a nice course for northern Minnesota.

On Valentine's Day we went there to eat there with another couple. The food was awful! There were a few other people there whom we knew and they said their food, too, was just plain bad. After we left the restaurant all of us went to the VFW for some drinks and as we talked to other people it was the general consensus that Blueberry Pines is NOT the place to go for food or a good time. We will not go back there even if the food was free.
