Without a doubt the best cup of coffee I've ever had. I stopped in after buying a lousy coffee elsewhere, and the owner quickly rectified the situation. I'd never had a pour over, or such a well rounded cup of coffee. My pallet has never cared for coffee served black, but I decided to try before adding cream or sugar. I'm so glad I did! Really, all coffee "lovers" should stop in and give them a try. I'd choose these folks over any chain, any day.
OK it was, service not impresive.. Nice guy but couldn't handle 2 customers... Worked there when Hank had auto parts ... Turned rotors and drums right where he makes coffee!!
Situated in what used to be an auto shop, the Milan Coffee Works has the best coffee in Milan. I first went there when they'd just opened and at the time, they only had pour overs. The coffee was excellent and was freshly roasted. Since then they've added an espresso machine and I'm happy to say that the cappuccino is as good as the pour overs! The shop itself is clean and pleasant with the owner never far away and the staff friendly and pleasant. They have a room off the coffee bar that has good seating and pleasant lighting. While it's a little off the beaten path being east of Dexter St., it's worth the extra block or so walk from downtown.
