Bad food, watered down drinks this place needs a Bar Rescue episode. Where the hell is Jon Taffer when he’s really needed? Three of us ate here recently during the week. Our margaritas were watered down but the chips and guacamole were great. Crisp chips and great guac! My French dip however, was awful. The meat was way overdone. Cardboard would have tasted better. The au jus (and I am serious here) tasted like the chef had spilled a salt shaker into the juice it was that salty. The sandwich was too big to actually fold over and dip, so I have no idea how you are supposed to actually dip the sandwich into the au jus. I guess the chef and manager have never actually tried. My wife’s strawberry salad was good, except the waitress said it came with chicken when in fact, the chicken pieces were pieces of cheese. The cucumbers were obviously on ice since they were dried out and not moist. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that good. To their credit when I mentioned the salty au jus we did get a coupon for $5 off but to be honest this was our first and last time here. The Pound really is for the dogs.
Terrible service. I went there for my 21st birthday and asked the bartender what their special were. Her response was, "I hate that question, we don't have any specials." I had been 21 for literally 60 seconds and I could not believe how poor the service was. The bartender could have handled the situation a lot better. Instead, I will NEVER spend another penny at The Pound. There are plenty of other bars literally within walking distance. You would think that will all the competition, The Pound would try to improve on their service and management, but instead, they just lost what could have been a loyal customer.
Great Pizza! Very fun place to hang out.
I don't know what other people are talking about, but The Pound has good food, drinks and I have never had any issues with the staff. And the chips are amazing, crazy person below.
