We decided to chance the previous review in favor of supporting a mom-and-pop for lunch. We just had a fabulous meal at the Gypsy Nickle, and this is a new favorite restaurant. The BLT was on wonderful thick toasted bread with lots of BL&T inside. My husband had a great Turkey Club on a terrific crusty roll. The Ginger Soup w/ fresh Udon noodles was great. And the 3 varieties of Homemade Spring Rolls were amazing. And regarding the other guy complaining about service, we were thrilled with everything. Counting being waited on, food delivery, time to eat all that food, and write this review while lingering over fresh coffee.. we were out in a little over 40 minutes Our waitress was Samantha. We live near Port Huron, but wish we had a place like this near us. We will make the most of it while we're here this week!
Do not visit here if your lunch plans are time sensitive. Have eaten here half-a-dozen times and ordered straight from their lunch menu. I have never been greeted, served, and cashed-out in less than 87 minutes. Is actually quite frustrating. The food is good, but if their speed increased I would not slide past a weak four-stars for a rating.
