We've been roasting chickens using the Red Pepper Jelly as a baste. A good dollop of jelly in a small sauté pan and heated 'til it is liquid. Liberally baste it on the chicken several times while the roast is on. Melt down as much as you need. Give it one last baste when removing from the oven. The chicken ends up moist and distinctly flavorful. A side benefit is the soup. Boil the carcass with the liquid from the roasting process, when done remove the bones, then add any leftover meat from the meal. Add another dollop of the Red Pepper Jelly, cooked bow tie pasta, carrots, and onion, anything you like. Let it all simmer for awhile so the flavors marry. The soup is the best ever. Our next experiment will be to inject the heated liquid jelly into the meat using a marinade injector. Pretty safe projection is a memorable meal. The Red Pepper Jelly is great for other things, too. It has become a pantry staple for us.
Great service....horrible manager. We ordered our food and went outside to smoke...it was near closing time so he wouldn't let us in even though our food was on the table. He finally let ny husband in but not before telling him he should quit smoking. I'm sorry but that is NOT his job or his place to say. Not to mention this was our first vacation alone as we have a 5 month old at home. Thank you for ruining what was supposed to be a special night for us. I was so upset I got my food to go ans left
We always stop to sample and buy their amazing jams. Recently we ate in their bistro. The food is fine but if we didn't stop for the jams I wouldn't go out of our way to eat there.
I had a breakfast sandwich and it was great. Friendly service in great atmosphere
It's a bit pricey but very high quality. Always samples to sweeten the deal, if you have room left!
