I have been wanting to go to the "Pigs Fly" pizzeria for quite some time now ...I have loved the products they put out for years...and search out those yummy breads !!! My firend &I finally took a trip up to Kittery ,yesterday ...and as I was entering ..I made the comment ,,about how excited I was to finally be here .. Sitting @ the bar ..we were greeted promptly by a pleasant bartender..and sat @the bar.. Thumbing through the selections of beer ..took a while ...only 4 glasses of wine by the glass ,,which made no sense to me ...so many beers on tap... I decided on a beer ..my friend a red zinfandel...both pours were small... Lokking at the the menu ...we decided on a ceasars salad ...which came ...the croutons were good ..salad...was ordinary @best...dry... Before coming here...I imagined that with all those amazing breads ..Pigs Fly makes ...I know that they must be using alot of them to make xxtraordinary crusts& pizza creations !!! ...but takiong a look at the menu...I found no sign of the creativity ..i have seen with the bread ...Pretty ordinary combinations of ingredients ...with no highlighted crusts ???? hmmmm We decided on a meatball pizza...with ricotta ...It came promptly ...The presentation was lacking but i was still xxcited about trying it ...Upon doing so ...I was really ...really disappointed ...the sauce was thin & not alot of it ...the meatballls were plain...just hamburger really...the chesse was spotty ...and the most disappointing was the soggy....not done crust ...plain white flour ... It was as if someone had no idea how to make pizza ..made this ...it was quite horrible ..and quite a disappointing experience ... On my way home ..I thought of how someone could make this eatery an amazing culinary experience..and how PIGS FLY ...really missed the boat !!! Its too bad ...wont go back ...waste of time &money !!!!

Good wood-fire pizza. Appetizers and small plates are awesome. Great beer selection. Atmosphere is cool too- like if IKEA built a cabin in the woods, in a good way.

Having loved their bread, I was eager to try out When Pigs Fly Pizzeria. Their pizzas were just as good as their bread! Toppings are creative and flavorful, with options such as chicken, bacon, onion cream, spinach, and fontina or asparagus and spinach with tomato pesto, onion, and fontina. The pizzas arrive crispy and slightly charred from their wood fired oven. They also have a great selection of beers and cocktails. My personal favorite is the wpf strawberry jelly jar, with house infused strawberry vodka, fresh lime, strawberry jam, and soda.

Good pizza, good beer, and the service is great! We'll be back for sure!

Wow! We had lunch here while traveling. Turkey sandwich on cranberry sage bread was fantastic! Nice choice of beverages. Afterwards we went into the store. LOTS of free samples. Delicious! We bought some bread. They freeze very nicely and are so good! Planning to see if they can ship all over the country. Holiday gift shopping would be finished if they do!
