New England Outdoor Center has something for everyone. It really does! NEOC can help plan your wedding, reunion, business meeting, or family vacation. The cabins are clean and newly remodeled, the restaurant has great service and food, the river has great thrills, and the lake and the views are sooo breath taking and relaxing. I'd recommend NEOC to anyone for anything!! You have to be here to believe how amazing it is-
Neoc is a great place to go out and ski, snowmobile and snowshoe in the winter time. Rafting the Penobscot is fantastic fun in the summer. Neoc is located in the beautiful Katahdin Region.
Not at all recommended. .. for the reasons below: 1) Thrill -- Very hyped, nothing scary or thrilling about it. Full river is a complete waste, they spend 8 hours and only there are 9 falls.. so if you add up you have about 10 mins of falls and 7 hrs and 50 mins of doing nothing. out if which only 2 are class V and 3 are class IV.. rest are tiny 2) Food -- Lunch is the worst one I have had in my life. Similar to jail food we see in movies. Pls Pls bring your own. Now even though its horrible the portion is tiny and if you are hungry you are not allowed a second serving or even a second cookie 3) Attitude -- Horrible instructors, who are extremely rude and yell at you all the time. I felt like I was in some tuition class. No fun at all. Not allowed to talk to each other in the group. All in all I can't believe they are still in business.
Had dinner there with family tonight! This is truly a gem in Maine. Hidden away in Millinocket Me on the way to Baxter Park - what a treasure. If you have not been there = it is a Go To Location! River Driver's Restaurant may be a drive but I found it to be a divine dining experience!
