Sunday River Brewing Company

First time here since they reopened under new owners. Our food was very good and the service from Kyle was excellent! Portions were sizeable and prepared quickly. Prices were not excessive especially for a ski resort area. Would recommend without hesitation.
Just open under new management after having been closed since last summer. Complete renovation but kept the same floor layout. Kitchen looks like a hospital operating room - clean and bright! Good food, great employee attitude, good prices, and just down the road from Sunday River resort. Fish and chips basket and glass of Pinot noir = $15. Good beer selection too, and I'm told Stu will be back soon crafting some excellent microbrews.
We were there on Saturday, group of 12 on bikes. We asked to sit outside on the deck and was told there was no room. We were seated out in the back room. The tables were dirty and footprints on them. The waitress came to take drink orders. We told her we wanted to pay seperately. We told her who was with who. She brought back beverages and did not really know who got what. Just set them all on the table. We then placed our food orders. Several of us ordered another beer. I did not get the other one that I ordered. They brought out the food orders and did not know who got what, they called them out and we told them where they went. I then asked for another beer, since i never got the second one. They never came back and asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. I did not ever get another beer. We then received some of the checks. They were not correct. The waitress then proceeded to tell us that she was no longer going to give us seperate checks and we were going to figure it out on our own. We said we were ok and we would fix it ourselves. She said NO we are no longer doing it that way. She told me that every beer that was ordered was put on the table of 12. (5 of us had Coronas.)The food was good but it is the WORST service i have ever had.
Came in on a Sunday during 4th of July weekend, about 7 PM or so. We ate on the deck. It was fairly full, not packed, and I overheard the waitress apologize to one of the tables and say she had been getting behind. She took our drink order. A bit later, another waitress (who happened to be a bus girl filling in) came over to retake our drink order and our food order. My friend ordered the beer sampler; they brought it out missing a beer because they were out of one of the usuals. My friend was still charged the full $10 for the sampler and when he asked for money off, they refused and said he could get another sampler glass of whatever he liked best. Maybe you should have offered that in the first place? Little things like this really make an impression about the service. I can't speak to the beer but my friend was unimpressed by most of it. The food was good, nothing really to complain about there. I got the grilled chicken avocado club and sweet potato fries and I enjoyed it. We had to go hunt our waitress down for our check. Because the bus girl was serving, nothing was getting bussed and there were a lot of empty tables full of leftover food and tableware/glassware. This interfered with seating other guests. Not knowing the situation, I can't slam them too much for what could have been the result of not expecting to be so busy, understaffing due to an illness, or what. There just wasn't much effort to make up for that in other areas other than apologies and half-measures. I do think that bus girl should get a promotion, though. I don't think we'll be coming back here again.
Only had the beer and apps. Can't beat the Wednesday Happy Hour beer prices, $2/draft. I enjoyed their Sunday River ALT and friends really liked their Porter. Garlic fries are great too!
