The BBQ Joint
Reviews
Great smokey flavor to the meat, fresh tasty home-made sides and wait staff that know how to engage the customers. A new favorite joint for me.
Awesome! Great food, good service, nice and clean... what more do you want? :)
some of the best BBQ anywhere in the nation! and I've been to 100's of BBQ places
This place is very small, i.e. about 20 or so people can fit in there comfortably at the tables. There's enough standing room for maybe 4 people before you feel crowded. Hence why they have their tables outside in 39 degree weather. Once you walk in (and it's not readily apparent) but there are two areas where you can grab a menu. Right at the counter or beside the counter where the entry to the kitchen is. You're greeted by one of the waiters or waitresses on duty and place your order. You may have a wait approximately 10-20 minutes as this place, at least during my visit they were busy. So you may want to call-in your order... But I kid you not the food is delicious! The prices are very reasonable as well. I ordered their sausage sampler and each sausage is uniquely flavored. I also ordered the Redneck nachos with the brisket. There is literally enough topping to cover every chip equally, so you shouldn't end up with a top-less chip. Even though they diced the brisket you can taste the slow-cooked BBQ flavor come through. Definitely a must go!!! As for the service rating from other customers, I can't agree or disagree with them, as I said I went there when it was pretty busy. For a place so limited in room, and with so many orders I can understand when the service may not be up to par or expectations. I will definitely be back there before I leave to re-assess, and update this review as need be
Great food, great service. Try the baked beans...fabulous.
