The Dream Away Lodge
Reviews
While it is true that the staff is too young for their parents to be hippies, it's pricy, and the owner is rude and snobbish your missing the point: To feel exclusive someone needs to feel excluded. The dream away is my favorite restaurant in Massachusetts. The overall experience never fails to disappoint.
Always a great meal and great music. Fire pit is a must for after dinner relaxing.
The best place to eat in the Berkshires love the staff and owner they are great people
The "menu" is whatever they are making that night, so there is no choice of what to eat. The price is very expensive for such small portions. The staff is snooty, slow, and too young for even their parents to have been hippies. Live music is played there, but its just a living room they're playing in, so there's room for 1 dozen people, or maybe 2 all standing close. The old animals wandering around are friendly, but I don't want them in a restaurant I eat at - they're in the middle of the woods, where have they been? It's an interestingly decorated place, okay for a tourist visit. I'm sure it was a great place to go do drugs way back when, but if you're going for dinner expect to have a long, disappointed drive home.
I absolutely LOVE the Dream Away Lodge. The food is fantastic and the ambiance cannot be discribed, it is a "MUST SEE". I am a local patron and also a Real Estate Broker in the area, and I either bring my customers to the Dream Away or I tell them they have to go because it is wonderful. David has done a wonderful job and I hope the Dream Away never goes away. Beth VanNess
