Sullivan Station Restaurant
Reviews
We, two, were especially pleased by the one-man singer and guitar player who entertained. Lovely renditions of favorites without cranking up a sound system to drown out conversation. Our server was accommodating (we are gluten sensitive, so the gluten-free option is really important to us) and helped with sound advice about bar selection and dessert choices ( delicious and reasonably healthful ). We've started thinking Sullivan Station as one of our first choices for an impromptu evening out.
Food was terrible & service was just as bad.. I am local & eat there several times a year. Up until this last visit(8/29/14) the food & service was very good. I sense a change in ownership/management/chef. .. There were several mishaps ; for example one hour after dinner commenced(5;30PM) the waitress said the kitchen ran out of linguine which is used in several of its dishes.. There is the stink of a failing business at this resturant
Our party decided to visit this restaurant due to its character and charm. The decour was unique and enjoyable to look at. Unfortunately our meal was not as good as the scenery. Our waitress was very sweet but she was unable to dedicate her time to replenishing our cups because she was spread thin during her shift. The food was adequate but lacked in originality. A cute location to see.
My wife and I took our 3 children there for a nice evening out, and we can not say enough good things about the Sullivan Station Restaurant. I have a child on the autism scale, and the waitress did everything to keep him engaged in everything. She even gave us a heads up on when the train was going to be coming alongside the restaurant so he wouldn't be scared. The food was very good, service was prompt, and the prices were very fair in regards to the portions. I would go back there in a heartbeat.
Family friendly, very nice staff. Good food and live entertainment the Sunday we were there.
