went 2/17/15. the town was shut down because of the ice storm. the resturant was about 60% full. It took more than 2 hours for a mediocre meal. The sirloin was good but the rib eye that I ordered med rare came out closer to well. The baked potato was hard as a brick and they did not even bring or offer ant sour cream, butter, chives ..anything with it. None of the food came out hot, and I never did get the salad I ordered. it was $72. for 2 adult meals and a child. The server was nice so with tip it was $85. Don't waist your money!
Good food, good service, and open. Came to Helen during a slow season and found some restaurants are closed even when their hours and websites say they're open. They ran out of baked potatoes and potato soup otherwise it was a good place to eat.
Good service... great food! Quiet inside the restaurant... loved the fact that the bar and restaurant was separate. Great place for a family with kids to eat.
My friend and I along with 20 other friends ate there 1/17/2015. My friend and I ate in the bar and put everything on one tab. She had tough sirloin tips and 2 cocktails. I had tasteless overcooked primerib and 2 cocktails. I took my prime rib home and fed it to the dogs. The bar tender presented me with a check for $127. I questioned her and she said it was correct but couldn't print a detailed bill. I put the $127 on my card and she was tipped $20 cash. today my bank shows a debit of $147! theres no way our bill was $127. the bar tender padded it and then re padded.
For the past few years we have been meeting in Helen (during this time of year) for a family gathering. On Saturday, we make it a point to eat a Paul's. This year their grill went out and lord knows that we were so hungry we could have eaten bear for steak. However, the waitress shared that knowledge with us and the Manager came over to apologize as well. Despite the mishap, they were able to go above and beyond to accommodate us and the customer service was OUTSTANDING! Linda made it right and we appreciate that so much!
