Hit you folks up today on one of my infrequent visits to Helen. I had the meat lovers pizza. Best pizza I've had in a long time. The Georgia Scarlett wine from Habersham is a great compliment to the meat lover's pizza, too. It really enhanced the flavors & spices. Great place.
Good. Take the regular pizza coz the other are about Smoochy. Still good pizza
Best pizza anywhere around. Lady under me must have came in on an off night because i have eaten here since day 1 (almost four years) and would honestly say best pizza I've ever eaten-still. Real ingredients. Fresh everything made daily. Place is excellent and inexpensive. Wait staff is the friendliest in Helen. Kitchen staff engages with the customers and makes the entire experience great. Bartenders are amazing and the beer selection... Perfection. Favorite restaurant around.
This place had everything you could want...except for good pizza. The service was beyond outstanding. The decor was quite likable. The pizza though...greasy toppings that slithered off when you tried to eat it & honestly, the only flavor was "grease". It was almost as if cheese pizzas were baked, then toppings were sauteed & added to order. The people were really, really nice but that doesn't satisfy the tummy very well.
I really do not like to rate the service as poor-fair, however, on the second visit in 2 days, the server (manager) spilled oily vinaigrette on my pants. She did hurry to get club soda, and I followed with cold water, but as it dried, I thought it just may be a permanent stain. When I voiced my opinion she suggested I use Shout or some other laundry aid when I get home. I did not expect a free meal, but I did expect some respect. My salad was $7.00, my wine was $8.00, and I had dessert. Would it not have been good customer service to at least have deducted SOMETHING from the check for the mess? My husband and I spent $40.00 for lunch the previous day (and she remembered us), and the light dinner with the salad dressing incident was $50.00. I certainly will skip this establishment on our next visit to the area. By the way, the oily stain did not come out of my pants, which were only months old.
