J D Coopers Restaurant
Reviews
Had our annual society meeting there. Plenty of parking, comfortable room, food and service were excellent.
As far as I am concern JD Cooper's is not customer orientated. My husband and I were there yesterday 5/4/2013 so my husband could place a bet on the Kentucky Derby. The bar area was crowded I say but, the service was horrible. The bartenders were very slow, not a smile out of any of them and we were NEVER offered a menu. I asked if they could change the Tv's to a channel we could watch a different track, was told no that those were for sports( one tv was on an informercial). About 10 minutes later a man, who we could tell was a regular asked that the very same tv's be changed to what he wanted and the owner came and changed it. We are not regulars, but we could have been persuaded to be one, but not now. We have been there before and the service was just about the same, but since we lived closer to them, then the casino we decided to try it again. But we will never go there again, and I feel they need train their employees to know how to handle a busy day with a good attitude. Now when there is a important race to my husband, we will travel the extra time to go to the casinos.I never post a review on places weather the service is bad or good, but I feel that John Q. Public should be aware that if they go to JD Coopers be prepared to wait and don't expect a smile or a good attitude from the employees. I did not rate the food because we were never given the chance to try it.
They always make me feel that THEY"RE doing me a favor by ME eating/drinking there. Used to be a semi-regular and never once was bought a beer by the establishment. I only go back now to bet on the big races......I bet, I leave
Waited over 2 hours for the food, when it finally come out they ran out of things we ordered and just substituted without asking. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
We showed up and saw the happy hour information in the front. Sat down and asked about the happy hour specials, waitress told gave us a blank look and then told us you could only get the specials at the bar? Meals are overpriced, nobody seems to eat there so it was all but empty. Downtown Putnam offers more selection for better prices.
