Children's Museum of Denver

If you are normally used to people who are of the less fortunate areas then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you might want to look into something less frugal. Just being honest. I saw two fights break out in the kids area while trying to teach my children and that was frightening to them and to myself. I felt like I had walked in and paid for nothing but the ability to expose my children to the less advanced in life. That does not mean poor or any type of race, that means anyone who does not have the training in life to control themselves. I hope that helps moms or dads out there who are trying to find a decent place for their children to live, learn, and play in a safe environment.
We are originally from Denver, but now visit grandparents with our two kids. We almost always go here when we visit. The exhibits are good and grab the attention of the kids. We are from Chicago and think it is better than the Kohl's museum here.
I volunteer here but when I was little I used to come here a lot. Now when I'm volunteering I see so many kids having fun, their parents are having fun (most of them). All the staff are super friendly and so fun to be around. It makes me happy and proud to be a part of it.
FILTHY!!! We went to the Children's Museum of Denver as soon as it opened and were absolutely disgusted at how dirty the infant section was. It looked like the vacuum they were using was broken because there were streaks of dirt everywhere. The pond looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. There were stains all over it. After my son crawled around he had black curl hairs stuck to his clothes!!! I will never take my child there again. Also, when we paid, we were never given a map or explained anything. The girls behind the counter just continued their conversation that I interrupted when I asked to pay.
My kids loved this place, especially the ball area! The different areas were pretty clean/picked up and I was impressed that the other parents were helping keep the areas neat. I don't think I saw one staff member during our 2 hour stay. We arrived shortly after 9 and left right as a big school group was coming in so there weren't a ton of people there when we were, which was nice.
