Love love love this Macys. I drive from Visalia to shop here. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. I don't understand the negative reviews. My favorite Macys.

The manager at the women's clothing section is a complete incompetent and irrational employee. Doesn't even know how her company's policies. Macy's are totally lowering their standards and training...

Swarming with paranoid undercovers (a.k.a. "loss control agents) eyeing almost every Mexican to see if they're shoplifting. If it wasn't offensive and racist it would be hilarious. Saturday Night Live could almost have much fun with this place's racist paranoia as they do with Sarah Palin's ignorance. This Macy's even hires Mexicans to be paranoid and racial profile other Mexicans, as it that will erase the racism But sorry, the Mexicans being paid to bust and racial profile are being ordered to do so it doesn't take the dirt off. Paying Mexicans to racial profile other Mexicans doesn't make anyone's hands clean. Not all the "undercovers" are Latino, but enough are. You can totally tell who these catch a theif undercover shoppers are. I mean these people are paid a low wage to do evil work so let's just say they didn't graduate from Julliard School of the Arts. I mean they won't be in any Broadway play this lifetime. They didn't study Method Acting or even Stella Adler so they're acting sucks and they looks totally out of place and awkward in their regular shopper costume. But overall my shopping experience was just aggravating and awkward. I tried to ignore it but I could feel the eyes scanning me and watching as I walked from department to department. Creepy. Then I looked around and I noticed they'd do this to other people, mainly other Mexicans, and especially teen girls and teen girls with their mothers. Now the comical part is that on Saturday so many Mexicans were shopping that they didn't know who to racial profile first. It was like you could see it on their faces that they weren't sure which Mexican to focus on with so many to choose from. They looked confused and their focus darted from Mexican to Mexican. I just sauntered through the store and watched and wondered why they thought everyone was too dumb not to notice, because we weren't. I even went to the perfume counter and saw this White woman dressed kind trailer parkish. Trailer Park fake actesss girl would hoover over me a few times. But you could tell she was in costume because she seemed awkward and her blonde hair was too well dyed and her make up too well done for a trailer park girl. This Macy's needs to get a clue. Latinos voted in Obama and 50% of Fresno is Latino. And we have no problem shopping at Kohl's. And if need be we can shop online. We don't need you and we sure don't need to endure your racial profiling with your underpaid secret agents and their bad acting. If we're spending $ at your so called high end store (the selection is equal to that of the Target in Los Angeles) we expect to be treated like high end people---not shoplifters. And let's just be honest, most of your White customers here look like they're barely a generation from the coal mining towns of Kentucky and possum hunting, so I don't know why you don't bother them.

This Macy's had really poor staff when I visited on a Weekday. Associates in the Men's dept, told us that sleeve alterations cost different amounts depending on how much you needed hemmed, the watch counter lady actually told me that the $189 watches were solid gold. The selection of clothes is decent, the prices are competitive, it seems that the quality of service is really poor for Macy's standards. Without a lot of competition in Fresno, it seems all too often that there is no incentive to improve the customer service.

Service at Chanel cosmetics is horrible! The woman who "helped" me was peering down her nose at me. I was painting one nail with a sample nail polish to see if the color was right. This was Saturday April 7 at about 7pm. This tall Caucasian lady with light brownish hair piled on her head came by and looked at me as if I was stealing something or doing something wrong. I told her I was deciding between 2 colors and she made an obvious suggestion (I suppose she thinks that me as 35 year old women doesn't the difference between spring and winter colors). But her tone was condescending and she stood hovering over me pressuring me to make a decision as if she were afraid I was going to run off with the sample. Under pressure I went and purchased one nail polish but will be returning it on Monday. I mean buying Chanel cosmetics should be a pleasant experience, and every time I look at this bottle of nail polish I remember that rude sales woman. I used to live in Los Angeles and before the recession purchased Chanel cosmetics all the time. Since the cost of living is cheaper here in Fresno I was going to resume my Chanel cosmetic habit. But I won't now. If they can't hire people who will attend to me gracefully I will be spend my money on cosmetic brands that do.
