Applebee's

TL:DR don't bother with this Applebee's. There are much better. Service sucked and food was just okay Person seating us didn't really say much besides "this way" which was fine. But the waitress was really bad. She didn't introduce herself. Which was okay with me but the ignoring us and then seemingly rushing us out of the restaurant was pretty bad. She almost tossed the food on the table without saying anything and walked away. (she did this twice. One with appetizer and one for main course). Then decided that the best time to ask if we wanted dessert was right in the middle of dinner while we were still eating or dinner. And then while I was looking at receipt and had the card in my hand she said I'll take that for you and rushed us out. Poor service all around. I've had better service at Dennys at 2am. The place really wasn't that busy either.
Poor initial service, no hostess at the front of restaurant, waited for three minutes without acknowledgement from anyone else in the restaurant. Left and went someplace else.
Worst EVER dinner. Avoid Applebee's on Friant (8430 N Friant Rd)! I went in and they said their computers were broke. But they could still take Debit cards. After an "ok" dinner that was slightly cold (congealed cheese on top of the artichoke dip), our waiter says our card isn't working. No problem because my fiance went across the street to pull out cash from an ATM. We were slightly upset since we ASKED them if debit cards were fine. We get home and check the bank account online. Applebee's had charged us THREE times! So I called the store. I was hung up on the first time. The second time a employee put me on hold and then disconnected me. The third time I had to wait 5 minutes before talking to the manager. Once I explained the situation, she said "Oh that's not good. We need to fix that". She then told me she wouldn't be able to do anything about it until TOMORROW! And her district manager would have to take care of it! Luckily we had some extra money on the account. But I'm very upset about the fact I paid $120 as of right now for a "so-so" dinner.
Just applebees... Ughhh. I quit trying.
I must say that this Applebee's is NOT a place to go for lunch or dinner. Nick Rodriguez is the Manager and Vanessa Willman is the Supervisor, at least these are the business cards available at the concierge. I went today during lunch hour with 3 other co-workers and we all had their lunch special "1 appetizer & 2 entrees for $20", their lunch was edible (3 cheese chicken Penne - chicken breast had visibly a chunk of fat that grossed us out, which had to be cut off and placed on a separate plate) a (9oz Sirloin that was such a bad piece of meat, fatty and full of gristle which made it chewy, rubbery, flavorless, and altogether unpleasant) and then (Chicken Fettuccine Carbonara) and then mine also a Chicken Fettucine Carbonara but because it comes with cherry tomatoes sliced in half, I requested "no tomatoes". Did I say no tomatoes? ok so I got my plate, no tomatoes, thank you BUT where are the other ingredients? the BACON and the PEAS? I immediately called the waitress over "Louisa M", explained that the dish was not properly confectioned as it was missing the peas and the bacon....she walked away and returned with a SAUCER FULL OF STEAM PEAS! (ok I have a great sense of humor but have never experienced such in any restaurant) I asked her what that was for and she replied it was for me to add to my dish! At this time I told her to please remove the place I was served, remove the peas and take both away as I was not going to stir additional missing ingredients to my place at my table at a restaurant. Then dear Vanessa, the supervisor came over, with my plate back to inform me that the ingredients had been "TOSSED" up again with the dish and here you go. Was she kidding? Fettuccine Carbonara being tossed-up again after the cream sauce sits for 10 minutes of going back and forth from the kitchen to the table and back to the kitchen??? Did she really think anyone in their right mind would eat such? So...no I would not recommend eating there, unless you are going for the alcohol because you would need to be drunk to eat there. The Manager? No where to be Found! I will be contacting the Area Manager - Jeff Ward
