Walking into Porto's is like getting in line for Splash Mountain at Disneyland. Long lines, interesting smells, and quirky things to catch your eye. Except here the lines move fast, the smells are aromatic, and the things catching your eye is the vast array of pastries and cakes.
hello when are you guys opening one in the city of santa clarita or in the antelope valley by palmdale we all love your bakery specially the pastry of guava and your cake are delicious.
POTATO BALLS! I could go here every day and never need to eat anything except the potato balls. That being said, they also have amazing breakfast sandwiches, regular sandwiches and pastries. My favorite pastry is the guava cheese pastry because it is a unique flavor that you can't really find anywhere else. If you ever need a birthday cake, or really a cake for any occasion, this is the place to get it! They have a chocolate raspberry cake that is so amazing I brought it back to Colorado with me on a place for my Mom's birthday. And they are not expensive which is always a plus. The lines are always super long but they move quickly and it is totally worth it.
Like ants on a pile of sugar. First time I went here was around 2 in the afternoon on a weekend. It had a line out the door and it kept growing after my family and I got in line. It is THE bakery to go to in Los Angeles and I absolutely am glad that I did research and previewed their selection on their website prior to going to the bakery because if I didn't, I would have felt really overwhelmed by their selections because they have so much! I ended up walking out with their classics such as the potato balls, the meat pies, and the cheese rolls. I tried it because everyone talks about them like they're the best but honestly I thought they were all pretty mediocre and only the potato balls were good because I enjoy mashed potatoes. I wouldn't suggest eating their pastries because there is very skimpy portions of filling in their pastries so you're just eating alot of dough. The best thing about their bakery--hands down their cakes! My family and I enjoy the checkered cakes and their napolean cake slices. Definitely high-quality cakes that keep us coming back once a month to get our cake fix! Parking here is a small lot and you might have to put in some effort to find street parking but if you are lucky you will get a parking space just as someone is pulling out like my family and I did.
