Granville Cafe

It has all the hallmarks of everything a good restaurant should be. Warm, friendly service. Hot tasty meal. Clean decor. Everything that a good restaurant should be. However, their prices are a little higher than what I got. With the prices paid I should have had a bit of left overs.

Love this place for some comfort food and a good atmosphere. I've gone to both the Burbank and Glendale location. I feel like it's not a complete trip unless I get the tomato bisque, sweet potato fries, and their Granville salad. I've sampled the mac and cheese from a friend which was perfectly cheesy, but a little too heavy to order your own.

Just fancy enough to feel like you're having a fine dining experience, but relaxed enough that you don't feel like you need to put on tux just to go eat there. This is one of the best places to have sweet potato fries. I know, I know... it's just sweet potato fries, but they make them just right and the rest of the menu is also so delicious!

First and foremost the customer service of this establishment is impeccable! I mean the epitome of outstanding service. The regional manager Alex reached out to me personally and apologized for my last experience and rectified the situation. He went above and beyond to make sure that my experience didn't leave a bad taste for the entire chain and I truly did appreciate the gesture. Appetizer: El Gaucho Salad (fresh organic spring greens, queso fresco, grape tomatoes, jicama, red bell peppers, sliced red onion, fresh avocado, spiced tortilla croutons and pepitas tossed with chimichurri vinaigrette) SOOO tasty I am a big fan of anything with jicama and avocado paired together. This salad was not only refreshingly light but it was incredibly tasty. Great way to start off the meal without getting too full. Main: Ahi Filet (pan-seared ahi tuna crusted with black & white sesame seeds on a bed of soba noodle stir-fry with a side of wasabi aioli) The ahi was perfectly cooked, meaty on the outside and velvety in the middle. I really enjoyed the soba noddles which added great texture to the entire dish. This is certainly a behemoth meal and was worthy of leftovers. Dessert: Lemon Drop Cheesecake (with a crumb topping, an extra creamy tart lemon filling and a side of fresh raspberry coulis) Although I am trying to minimize my diary intake, this was certainly worthy of the cheating! When I tell you this was one of my most favorite desserts of all times, PLEASE believe me.....I love lemon anything and the combination of the tarty lemon and the sweet raspberries ignited a flavor fuse that really got me going. It was pure beauty! Overall I REALLY enjoyed my dinner and of course I couldn't leave without getting a pitcher of their super yummy sangria. Seriously its possibly the best sangria I've tasted and its super inexpensive. I would certainly recommend this location. Our waiter was prompt, amusing, knowledgeable and accommodating...basically everything your looking for in a waiter. Its loads of free parking, service was impeccable, and the food was beyond amazing!

You order at the counter, which makes this place nice for large groups. But the food is a little pricey. The salads are just ok. The burgers are quite good.
