Totally going on our must go to places in Anaheim, CA.Found them using and so happy we did.We went because the kitchen was open and kelpers said they were cheap. What left out was the deliciousness of the food.Ordered a white sausage sandwich with sour kraut and bacon. It came with fresh cut potato chips and was fantastic.Ordered the grilled cheese served on Texas toast also served with fresh cut potato chips. We also split an appetizer of fried green beans. We had beers each and the bill came. only. How is that possible in Anaheim, CA.This was delicious food and micro brew style beers each. Service was fast, friendly and really good.Napa Rose we will return.

This place is awesome. The food is great and the service is outstanding. I reserved seats at the Chef's Counter for their first seating at 5:30. There are about 15 or so seats that are positioned so that they are facing the open kitchen. You get to watch all of them cook and it's really a great experience. Besides the seating, sitting at the Chef's Counter gives you the option of ordering the Chef's Menu. While I enjoyed this, I will probably order on my own next time now that I know what I like. You see, with the Chef's Menu, you don't know what they are going to serve you. And what's worse, you are sitting at the counter so you get to see all the awesome food that they are making for other people and all you can do is sit there and pray that you get that haha. /// SERVICE: I had originally planned this dinner to celebrate my parents' anniversary. They wanted to switch it up though and make it my dad's bday dinner. I had mentioned this when I received the confirmation phone call. As soon as our table was ready, my father was greeted by name and with a happy birthday. They are so on top of things here. The service was so good that I never felt like I had to ask for anything throughout the night. They weren't overly intrusive either. Chelsea was awesome. She made desserts in front of us throughout our stay. Andhi was the other chef that happened to be working directly in front of us. He cooked meat the whole time and is probably the reason why I won't go with the Chef's Menu. I didn't like the feeling of watching him cook exactly what I wanted but then not knowing if i would get it! I'm talking Beef Short Rib and Rack of Lamb that is amazing! /// FOOD: Chef's menu - a good idea if you have a party of 3-4 and it is your first visit. You will each get different items and if you share, you can have a nice sampling of what NR offers. I got to taste so many different dishes. There were 3 of us and we got the chef's menu so we each got to sample 3 different things from each course. Everything was good but I have to say the Beef Short Rib was awesome. /// PARKING: Valet and then get your parking ticket punched at the restaurant. Decent valet. Quick service.

If a fine dining establishment had a disclaimer that you could encounter various people such as business professionals, tourists, families (with kids and balloons in tow) yet be wowed by the culinary journey that awaits you... would you indulge? I don't know why or how, but the eclectic mix from short and sandal wearing park-goers to those in upscale attire works at Napa Rose. In fact, it's almost reassuring that you can casually drop by (reservations should be made or expect to wait for lounge seating). Now, cautionary info aside - the Napa Rose: First off, the placement of the restaurant in the Grand California Hotel is not an inconvenience. There is courtesy valet if you dine at the restaurant - much easier than trying to park in a Downtown Disney parking lot. Ambiance and decor are warm and inviting - yet with a spacious element that helps keep you from feeling claustrophobic. Subtle colors, sparse wine bottles throughout and an open kitchen capture your attention before even sitting and receiving a menu to explore. Seated comfortably with interest piqued, you may then visually wander the room in admiration at the eclectic mix of patrons that I initially described... but nothing is lost. Open the menu and salivate over the various that tempt your taste buds. Perhaps start with some wine as I did with my wife - after all, Napa Rose is a stand-out recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. You should be able to find something eloquent and complex whether paired with nothing, charcuterie or something else of note. Sip slowly to save for a later course during your dine or imbibe with another glass as appropriate, you'll find the main courses and sides offer flavorful selections to consider. I've twice had an entree of free range chicken medallions with truffle sauce - wholeheartedly love it! Paired with the truffle mac 'n cheese and I'm swimming in rich, earthy flavored goodness. Also had an assortment of appetizers via comprehensive sampler. After enjoying the terrific complimentary bread basket (refills if you will), one could just make an evening off the appetizer menu. Still, I must insist you opt for the TMnC as a side! Service is akin to many a fine dining establishment with attentive personnel that help you with your chair or napkin, remove bread crumbs from the table, tend to your drinks and plates but most importantly convey knowledgeable information about the menu items and assist with recommendations if you need them. Be accepting of the fact that this spectacular restaurant is expensive and without snobbery. I think the humble nature of the Disney affiliation and the restaurant staff aid in the success of merging casual and upscale diners. Just return the favor and visit/dine without pretension.

A wonderful special occasion restaurant in OC. The standout for me was the seven sins appetizer which was so creative. A great group of waiters and a talented chef.

Unfortunately I was not too hungry when I went here because the food was absolutely amazing. I had the pan roasted diver scallops which is an appetizer as my meal. The seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfectly balanced. I can't remember what my friends ordered by I had a bite of their meal and both the dishes they got were equally delicious. Food was well presented beautifully and the staff was friendly and attentive. They have a good selection of drinks here too!
