I gave it more than one chance and the service and food sucks. Wonder if management or the owner even reads these. This place has great potential to do so much with it. Concert events, Bike Mecca, plenty other ideas. Plenty of room to expand. Just my thoughts on it.
Hot Rods ,has a great concept but that's about it. Food & service is just awful. The only good server they had was Danica,& they let her go. The shop is just about as bad. Charged me $40.00 just to grease my 74 Cadillac. Won't be back ever.
Will never enter this place again. Unless somone from food network reworks the entire resturant. Ridiculous out of the bag food with no thought at all.
There are not many places to eat in Vail, AZ so we keep going back to Hotrods hoping that it will improve. I guess I'll have to keep hoping! Service started out good even though we were seated in the bar area where the bar tender was also our waitress. I ordered the shrimp basket w/onion rings, the other members of my party ordered sandwiches. I asked the waitress for some ketchup but it never arrived because a customer, apparently a regular, came in carrying a large puppy. The waitress dropped everything and spent 5 minutes carrying the puppy around showing it to people in the bar area. Then without washing her hands she returned to her bartendering/waitressing duties. The puppy distraction might explain why she didn't offer to refill my soda until after I had finished my meal. And the food? It wasn't very good!
Consistently poor service; especially from female bar staff. Inattentive, unfriendly....consistently. Food is average at absolute best, and way overpriced. You do not feel welcome coming here. There are so many other better choices, even in Vail.
