Vail Steakhouse Cafe & Diner

Every time I eat there I have a GREAT meal. My wife loves the t-bone, it is always cooked to perfection. Service is great and makes you feel at home! You can't beat their breakfast - huge servings of quality food.
I was looking forward to a tasty, juicy steak. Instead what I got was a tough, tasteless NewYork steak which I could not even cut. The loaded baked potato was good. How can you ruin a baked potato. The salad was right out of the grocery store bag, which was pretty awful for the price of the meal. $20.00. The steak was the worst I ever had the small nibble I managed to taste was dry. Will never waste my money there again. EVER!
My wife and 2 teens, love this place. Food is delicious with generous portions, cooked to order with add-ons as desired with no extra cost. The owners, George and Dina, are just like family, warm and friendly. Waitresses are friendly and helpful. These old time family restaurants are few and far between. Always a great experience for a hungry family. Been going there about 2 or 3 years and always look forward to it.
I should have guessed by the name that this place was going to be terrible. They are definately NOT a steakhouse! Steaks were not seasoned at all, baked potato was cold, there was some type of what looked like melted yellow plastic on top of my steak when she brought it out. She watched me pick it out with my knife & then just left. The dinner rolls were cold. When we finished, the waitress took my plate back with half a steak still on it & boxed it up & put it behind the counter. I would not be surprised if she didn't take it home to eat later. Definately won't return.
